Let’s see, what shall we lob a brick at today, children?  A billionaire’s tasteless super-yacht, blinged and smug in its tax haven?  Or a factory ship merrily hoovering the life out of the oceans leaving a watery desert populated with plastic bags?  Nah, too much bother, let’s just go down to Hastings fishing beach and vandalise the precarious livelihood of someone walking the breadline practising sustainable fishing…

Hence the floodlights.  No idea if they have any effect.  Perhaps some researchers let loose a pack of morons and then shone floodlights on them and found they stopped smashing stuff.  Anyway it’s a challenging thing to paint especially when the moon comes out to play as well.

I’d like to pretend it was painted on the spot with a headtorch strapped over my furrowed brow but it was done from a couple of blurred and shaky photographs.  When I can be bothered to haul myself with pochade and tripod down to the beach this is the sort of thing that results…
